Why Your Data Deserves Better: Inside Rollfast DOM AI
Performance · DOM AI

Most cyclists are swimming in data. Garmin, Wahoo, Zwift, Strava, TrainingPeaks. The files keep coming. Without someone who knows what the session was supposed to do, those numbers are noise. They send you chasing the wrong work.
We built Rollfast DOM AI to close that gap. It’s the domestique for your coaching. It does the file work so your coach can talk to you.
DOM does not write your training plan. It grades the ride you already did.
What DOM AI actually does
In cycling, a domestique fetches bottles, sits in the wind, and chases breaks so the leader can race. DOM AI does the equivalent with your TrainingPeaks file.
After a ride syncs, DOM pulls the power data, compares it to the workout we prescribed, and builds a letter-graded report in Rollfast zones. Same standards we use on the road and in the gym. The report lands in your inbox from dom-ai@rollfast.us. A copy also lives on your athlete page on this site.
What DOM does
Reads the completed ride against the prescription, in our zones. Builds the report so the coach already has it before the call.
What DOM does not
It does not write your training plan. It does not dump the file into another dashboard and leave you to guess.
The questions it is built to answer
You’re a Masters athlete. Work, family, and training already fill the week. You don’t have time to become a data scientist.
- Are those “easy” minutes actually Tempo because power crept?
- Did you execute the intervals, or just land the average by surging and coasting?
- Did recoveries stay easy enough that later sets still had legs?
- Is the gym work showing up as force on the bike, or just making you tired?
Those answers are in the file. DOM reads the file against the prescription, in our zones, not a generic algorithm.
What is in a report now
The reports have grown since this page first went up. Here’s what you get after a ride.
A report card. Overall letter plus six categories: Power Execution, Power Precision, Zone Compliance, Recovery Discipline, Cardiovascular Efficiency, and Mental Fitness. Weighted scores from the file.
Extra Credit. Some behaviors matter a lot, but we don’t fail you for missing them. When the file proves one of the three below, DOM stamps the card in red. The circle stays the grade you earned. The stamp shows the bump (+0.2 per hit, cap +2.0 per ride).
| Stamp | What the file has to show | Bump |
|---|---|---|
| Held the Floor | Recoveries actually stayed easy | +0.2 |
| Respected the Ceiling | Work intervals didn’t blow past the target | +0.2 |
| Last Set = First Set | You didn’t fade the last work set | +0.2 |
dFRC. Anaerobic reserve, drawn as a curve under the power chart. You can see when the session actually spent the tank, and when it barely touched it. Cost and depth for this ride. It doesn’t change your grade.
Quadrant Analysis. Force vs cadence, so you can see whether a Tempo day was actually a lot of grinding, or whether recoveries never left the work quadrants.
Power Precision (SD). How tightly you held the number. Traffic stops and GPS turns are already pulled out of clean SD.
How to Raise Your Score. If a category lands at C+ or lower, DOM adds one concrete fix from that ride. Strong cards skip it. Sometimes it also points to one Rollfast article worth reading for that pattern.
Reply to the report. Hit Reply on the email if the file looks wrong or you have a grade question. Real coaches review comments before anything changes in the report.
From the coaching call. After the weekly coaching call, what you and your coach decided gets written into your next reports. If you are testing a new nutrition plan for a race, DOM keeps an eye on that. Same for the other things you talked through. A coach signs off on those cues before they land.

Matt Tanner, August 19, 2026. RF Amplify – Interval Surf. Extra Credit is on the card (Held the Floor, Respected the Ceiling, Last Set = First Set, capped at +2). Seven of nine surf rounds hit; traffic took the last two.
Exclusive to Rollfast athletes
DOM AI is not a standalone app you can buy. It’s part of the Rollfast Coaching package. Same system our coaches use, sitting on every completed ride.
